Two New Long Island Breweries Will Debut at Nassau's Spring Craft Beer Festival

February 23, 2015-Uniondale, N.Y.  Starfish Junction is proud to announce that the 9th Annual Spring Craft Beer Festival will be returning to Nassau Veteran Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island, N.Y. on Saturday, March 21st.  More than 50 craft breweries will be in attendance, pouring samples of their finest brews-more than 100 in all. Tickets for the Festival are on sale now at the event website www.SpringCraftBeerFestival.com.  This is a 21+ event.

“With more than 100 beers available for sampling, this year’s festival is going to be our best fest yet,” said Joe Chierchie, event manager for show producer, Starfish Junction.   Sought-after breweries such as Blue Point Brewing Company, Great South Bay Brewery, Port Jeff Brewing Co., and Chicago’s Goose Island Brewery will be holding special timed releases of their rarest ales.  Due to their limited supply, these special beers will only be poured at designated times and available for tasting on a first-come, first-served basis.  Thousands are estimated to attend the event and the festival is trending for a sell out this year.  A silent disco, sponsored by Shipyard Brewing Co. will add to the day’s festivities as will the Beer For Brains sports memorabilia art auction fundraiser conducted by Grand Stand Sports.

Making their festival debut from Farmingdale, NY will be two new nano breweries, 1940's Brewing Company  and Po’Boy Brewery.  The Spring Craft Beer Festival “will be our first large venue show and we are excited to be a part of it,“ said Charlie Becker, owner, 1940’s Brewing Company.  “We have been to the show as ticket holders and home brewers but to be here as a professional craft brewer is a big step for us,” added Becker.  The festival will also feature seminars on topics as varied as pairing beer with chocolate; homebrewing; and cellaring & aging beer.

The Spring Craft Beer Festival raises money and awareness for organizations such as The Beers for Brains Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The event is sponsored in part by www.LIBeerEvents.com, Long Island’s local beer calendar.

The festival will be divided into two (2) sessions. Session I will take place between 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm; Session II will be held from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Valid photo ID is required upon entry and all attendees must be 21+. Tickets are available for purchase online in advance of the event at www.SpringCraftBeerFestival.com for $45 each; Designated Driver tickets are $12.  Tickets are limited.  If the event is not sold out, tickets will be available at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum box office and on event day for $55.
