<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b>(COOPERSTOWN, NY)</b> When fans last gripped their glasses at the end of
<i>Game of Thrones'</i> sixth season, the great houses of Westeros were
on the brink of an epic conflict. Cersei had ascended to the Iron Throne
as the first queen of Westeros, Jon Snow and Sansa Stark had just
reclaimed the North, and Daenerys Targaryen had
set sail for the Seven Kingdoms. To commemorate the coming mêlée in the
Emmy® Award-winning show<i>’s
</i>epic<i> </i>seventh season, Brewery Ommegang and HBO Global Licensing are excited to announce a new beer in their collaborative series:
<i>Bend the Knee Golden Ale.</i></span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">
</span></span><div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">Paying homage to the struggle for control of the Seven Kingdoms,
<i>Bend the Knee</i> will be available on draft and in a series of three
collectible 750ml bottles, all finished in matte black and adorned with
one of the three Great House sigils: Stark, Targaryen, or Lannister.
The beer clocks in at 9.0% ABV and bears a
suggested retail price of $10.99 per bottle. And while the show’s
return date has yet to be announced, fans can mark their calendars for
the official nationwide release of the beer, which will be on shelves
around Memorial Day.

</span></span><div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">“With this next <i>Game of Thrones</i>-inspired
release, we wanted a beer and a pack that was fit for a king… or a
queen,” said Brewery Ommegang President, Doug Campbell. “Drawing from a
rich Belgian brewing tradition,
Golden Strong Ales are deceptive due to their unique combination of
extreme drinkability and relatively high alcohol content.
<i>Bend the Knee</i> walks that line, while also incorporating the
delicate flavors of honey into the mix. The subtle noble and floral hop
contribution adds to its delicateness, and the beer finishes smooth and
dry.”

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">“We love the idea of a golden ale to kick off the summer and to keep fans engaged as they wait for
<i>Game of Thrones</i> to return,” said Josh Goodstadt, Vice President
of Global Licensing and Retail, HBO. “With the story focusing in on
these three major houses—Stark, Lannister and Targaryen—we’re excited to
give fans the chance to align themselves with
their favorite house as they sip this latest brew.”</span></span></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Bend the Knee</span></i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;"> is brewed with pils malt and flaked oats and hopped with Saaz, Bravo, and Styrian Golding hops. It
</span>pours
a golden hue with a large, frothy head. Both the aroma and flavor mix
maltiness and citrus from the hops, while Ommegang’s signature house
yeast produces prominent fruitiness. Wildflower honey added
during fermentation provides light sweetness to the beer, which
finishes dry and with firm hop bitterness.

</i>recipe<i>. “Sirens’ Song</i> is brewed with dark Belgian candi syrup
to impart decadent notes of dark fruit and burnt sugar, and also brewed
with raisins and figs in order to compliment the rich, fruity character
of this dark ale. It’s a wonderful wintertime

CHATHAM,
N.Y. (Jan. 19, 2017) --- Chatham Brewing, an upper Hudson Valley craft
brewery and taproom, will celebrate ten years of craft brewing this
winter, culminating with an anniversary celebration party on Saturday,
March 4 in Chatham.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Founded by Tom Crowell and Jake Cunningham in
2006, Chatham Brewing started out as a simple window service in the
back of an alleyway – selling and filling growlers from the side door of
their brewery because there wasn’t room for customers inside.<br />
<br />
“Jake,
Matt, our families, and I will forever be indebted to our customers and
friends who have given us such strong support. They’re the reason we’ve
been able to continue brewing great beer and doing what we love for the
past 10 years, and this is a great chance to really give back to
everyone who has helped us get this far,” says Crowell.<br />
<br />
“As long
as we have customers and friends like these, we’ll be able to continue
living our dream; brewing, drinking, and sharing beer that we love with
the people we love,” said Cunningham.<br />
<br />
The duo was introduced
through their wives who discovered the two shared a love for beer. This
was then followed by news that Albany’s Big House Brewing was selling
their former brewing system, the two quickly moved to form Chatham
Brewing. Soon after setting up shop in a small garage in the back alley
of Main Street, and just three months after their first batch, Crowell
and Cunningham went down to TAP New York and won a bronze medal for
their porter. They spent the following years alternating brewing duties,
trying to keep up with their ever-growing following until 2008, when
Matt Perry, a local home brewer approached them with an interest in
trying his hand at a larger scale system. <br />
<br />
With the addition of a
new brewer, and a few new fermenters in 2012, they returned from TAPNY
with the coveted Mathew Vassar Cup for Best Craft Brewery in the Hudson
Valley. With the new accolades, the newly formed trio found themselves
in need of an expansion that came Christmas Eve of 2013 when they moved
their tanks down Mmain Sstreet and into their new space. In December of
the following year, the laws changed again and they were able to pour
and sell individual beers directly to the customers.<br />
<br />
With the
birth of the new Chatham Brewing taproom, came the Grazin’ Food Truck,
and today, Chatham Brewing has become a fixture of Main Street. Their
taproom is haven for everyone in Colombia County seeking craft beer and
farm-to-table food service; serving fresh beer and locally sourced bar
food with a personal touch.<br />
<br />
Chatham Brewing’s personal touch
doesn’t end at the brewery doors, but extends all through New York’s
Hudson Valley through their innovative Same Day Series. Head brewer
David Perry not only develops dozens of new recipes and styles of beer
each year, but offers a limited number of those batches to be kegged and
delivered the same day, maintaining the freshness of each brew and
ensuring the bars and restaurants carrying the series have the same
quality beer as at the brewery itself.<br />
<br />
Details about the anniversary celebration will be announced in the near future, along with entertainment and ticket information.<br />

may have heard of Christmas in July, a phrase that started in 1933 at a
girls camp in North Carolina and was the title of a movie released in
1940. But what about our Hebrew Tribe? Why is there no Chanukah in July?
And why should the southern hemisphere get to have all the winter
holiday fun in July? Not to worry, Shmaltz Brewing is here for you with
its extra special summer 2016 release of <b>Chanukah in Kentucky...in July</b>!<br /><br />Shmaltz's latest rare and precious <b>Chanukah in Kentucky...in July</b>,
a luscious dark ale aged in bourbon barrels, pairs perfectly with
summer foods, favorite friends and family, and unique beer-loving
palates. The barrel aged beauty is the result of freshly fermented <b>Hanukkah, Chanukah: Pass the Beer</b></span><b>®</b><span style="color: #222222;">
aged in Heaven Hill and Jim Beam bourbon barrels. Eight months and many
sensory tastings later, this latest Chosen Beer has developed an array
of gifts for the beer lover's taste buds: complex flavors of dark cherry
and dates, light coffee roast and bakers chocolate. A confection of
toffee, caramel, hints of vanilla and maple all arise with the
unmistakable aromas of barrel strength bourbon from the second-use boozy
barrels.</span><span style="color: #222222;">"<b>Chanukah in Kentucky...in July</b> is a delightful
experiment that leans on the 8 malts, 8 hops and bourbon-splashed woody
oak to impart a rich flavor and medium body," says Richie Saunders, Head
Brewer at Shmaltz. "It's a boundary-busting brew created just for our
dedicated tribe of summer-loving craft beer freedom fighters." <br /><br /><b>Chanukah in Kentucky...in July</b>
is now available on draft at select chosen beer bars throughout the 35
states within Shmaltz's distribution network. Get it when you see it --
there's no miracles coming to keep the beer flowing once this batch is
gone. This month, Shmaltz features <b>Chanukah in Kentucky...in July</b></span><span style="font-family: inherit;"> at launch events occurring in select cities across the country</span><span style="color: #222222;">. opened their own New York State production brewery in 2013 in Clifton

brewhouse with 30,000 barrels of annual capacity and packages a diverse

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>(COOPERSTOWN, NY)</b>
After an exciting season that saw the Starks reclaim the North and
Cersei take the Iron Throne as the first queen of Westeros, Brewery
Ommegang and HBO Global Licensing are introducing a new beer and
bringing back a previous brew to steady the nerves of fans as they
anxiously endure the show’s off-season break.
<i>Valar Dohaeris Tripel Ale</i> is the latest beer in the series and
pays homage to Arya’s season-long struggles within and around the House
of Black and White. This beer will be available in 750ml single bottles,
on draft and also paired alongside its previously
released sister-brew <i>Valar Morghulis</i> in a collectible gift pack which features a commemorative glass as well. S<span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">uggested retail price is $9.99 for the individual bottles and $22.99 for the gift pack.
</span>The official nationwide release to retailers is October 10.</span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span></span>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Fans of <i>Game of Thrones</i>
know that “Valar Morghulis” means “All Men Must Die” in High Valyrian
and is traditionally answered with the phrase “Valar Dohaeris,” which
means “All Men Must Serve.”
Label art for both bottles features the two-headed coin, given to Arya
Stark by Jaqen H’ghar, which gained her passage to Braavos at the end of
Season 5. Arya spent most of Season 6 in Braavos training to become a
faceless assassin, making the naming of the
latest beer and the decision to re-release <i>Valar Morghulis</i> a no-brainer.</span></span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">“When we got a sense of the season’s key plot points, we knew right away
<i>Valar Dohaeris</i> was the new beer name and that bringing back <i>Valar Morghulis</i>
was a must,” says Bill Wetmore, General Manager and Marketing Director
for Brewery Ommegang. “And I think HBO’s fantastic idea to have the gift
pack mimic the House of
Black and White is really going to be a hit with fans. It looks killer
and I think fans are going to scoop them up pretty quickly for gifts or
for their own collections.”

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">“Of
the classic Belgian styles, the dubbel and the tripel are two of our
favorites to brew, and both are styles we’re particularly well known
for,” says Ommegang Brewmaster Phil Leinhart. “I love
the idea of releasing them together side-by-side. It is such a great
way to experience them. They are also pretty hearty and should age
nicely over time, so fans can stock up to last them through the winter
and to fill the void until next season.”

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Originally released in 2014,
<i>Valar Morghulis Dubbel Ale</i> is a name and style selected by fans
in a December 2013 social media poll. One of the fastest-selling beers
in the series, fans enjoyed this classic Belgian-style because it is
fairly complex and full of intrigue – much like
the show itself. <i>Valar Dohaeris Tripel Ale</i> is, much like a
“faceless man,” not what it first appears to be; it shares the
complexity of its sister-brew and a strength masked and belied by its
lighter color.

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Valar Morghulis
</span></i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">is
8% ABV, brewed with pilsner and specialty malts and hopped with Apollo
and Hallertau Spalt Select hops. The hue is deep amber-brown and aromas
include caramel, toffee, ripe fruit,
banana and slightly burnt sugar. The taste is well-balanced with rich
malty sweetness, caramel and sugar, and just a touch of bitterness to
balance. The finish is surprisingly dry and light on the tongue, a
surprising counter to its aroma and initial taste.

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">Valar Dohaeris</span></i><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%;">
is 9% ABV, brewed with pils, wheat and oats, flaked barley, and hopped
with noble hops. It pours a beautiful
copper-tinted hue with a full, fluffy white head. Sweet grain and honey
are prevalent in the aroma. The flavor opens with a bright sweetness
thanks to the Belgian candi sugar used in brewing. The finish is
moderately dry and effervescent with just a hint of
Belgian yeast character. </span></span></span></div>

-- Shmaltz Brewing Company boldly goes to Comic-Con International with a
unique Collector's Edition 50th Anniversary Release commemorating </span><b>Star Trek 50</b><span style="font-family: inherit;">: </span><b>The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;">. This summer and fall, </span><b><i>Star Trek</i></b><span style="font-family: inherit;">
celebrates its 50th Anniversary and Shmaltz captures the TV show's
indelible spirit that so many science fiction fans have come to love
over the last half century. With </span><i>The Original Series</i><span style="font-family: inherit;"> debuting on NBC in 1966, </span><i>Star Trek</i><span style="font-family: inherit;">
has grown to become the #4 all-time movie franchise broadcasting in
over 200 countries and grossing $2.4 billion all-time sales at the box
office. CBS Studios has teamed up with Shmaltz Brewing for the only
officially licensed </span><i>Star Trek</i><span style="font-family: inherit;"> beers in the United States. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: inherit;">Trekkies attending San Diego's Comic-Con International! Get ready for the debut of </span><b>Star Trek Golden Anniversary Ale: The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> at the premiere of </span><b><i>Star Trek Beyond</i></b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (IMAX, Embarcadero Marina Park, July 20) and Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center (July 21 - 24). </span><b>The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> will also be available at the San Diego retail locations listed below. Additionally, </span><b>The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> will be available at the "</span><b>Star Trek Las Vegas</b><span style="font-family: inherit;">" convention at the Rio Hotel & Casino from August 3 - 7, 2016. hybrid of wheat and rye, called quadrotriticale. Since the year 2269 is
still about 250 years in the future, Quadritriticale has yet to be
conceived. Thus, Shmaltz brews with triticale for </span><b>Golden Anniversary Ale: The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;">.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: inherit;">The
first commercial release by Drew Schmidt (Shmaltz Lead Brewer), the
longtime Shmaltz brewer comments about the beer, "Light Carastan malt
gives some residual sweetness in the form of very light toffee. A dose
of Munich adds a slight bready quality, and wheat malt lends to a slight
crisp character. Mashing at a moderate temperature gives this beer a
medium body. In keeping with the intergalactic theme, hopping is
comprised of Comet, Polaris, Aurora and Admiral (Kirk) hops. This beer
is only loosely filtered to clarity, in order to preserve the ambiguity
of good and evil."</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: inherit;">Starting next week,</span><b> Golden Anniversary Ale: The Trouble With Tribbles</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> will be available throughout the San Diego metro area at </span><b>Neighborhood</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (777 G St.), </span><b>Burgers, Bate & Beer</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (200 Marina Park Way), </span><b>Hopping Pig</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (748 Fifth Ave), </span><b>Tipsy Crow</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (770 Fifth Ave), </span><b>Gaslamp Tavern</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (868 Fifth Ave), </span><b>The Safehouse - North Park</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (2930 University Ave), </span><b>Newport Pizza & Alehouse - Ocean Beach</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (5050 Newport Ave), </span><b>Balboa Tap House - Clairemont</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (4421 Genesee Ave), </span><b>Goldfish Point Café - La Jolla</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (1255 Coast Blvd), </span><b>Eureka! - La Jolla</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (4353 La Jolla Village Dr), </span><b>Woodstock's Pizza - SDSU</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (6145 El Cajon Blvd), </span><b>Ugly Dog Pub</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (6344 El Cajon Blvd), </span><b>Craft Kitchen - La Mesa</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (4253 Palm Ave), and </span><b>The Hills - La Mesa</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> (8758 La Mesa Blvd). designed by 2nd Shift Supervising Brewer Ivan Dedek, Shmaltz's second
offering for Star Trek 50 harnesses a crisp, clean malt character
showcased by the use of light Munich malts and brewer's maze. The aroma
is accented by fresh citrus fruits such as lemon and lime with subtle
notes of white wine. The crisp malts and fruity aromas are elevated by
maintaining a mild bitterness allowing each selected ingredient to offer
its individual qualities without being overshadowed by any single
ingredient. With 5 malts, 5 hops and 5% ABV, </span><b>Voyage To The Northeast Quadrant</b><span style="font-family: inherit;"> is the perfect brew for any beer lover to toast the 50th Anniversary of such an iconic piece of popular culture.</span><br /><br /><b>About Shmaltz Brewing Company</b><span style="font-family: inherit;">Founder

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: small;"><b><i>Clifton Park, NY </i>-- Thursday, July 7, 2016</b> <b>--</b> In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, Shmaltz Brewing Company continues its efforts to raise funds for the<b> Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research (IMBCR)</b> by collaborating with Terrapin Beer Company for the sixth year to brew <b>Reunion Ale '16 -- A Beer For Hope®</b>
(8% ABV). Myeloma is the 14th leading cause of cancer deaths, and in
2014, an estimated 24,050 new cases were discovered. Each year, <b>Reunion Ale®</b>
is brewed in memory of Virginia MacLean, a dedicated cancer research
supporter who lost her own battle with Multiple Myeloma in 2007.
MacLean's wish to continue building awareness on behalf of the IMBCR is
achieved through her dear friends and co-workers Alan Shapiro and Pete
Slosberg's (creator of Pete's Wicked Ale™) work with Shmaltz and
Terrapin for the annual release of <b>Reunion Ale®</b>.<br /><br />The brand new recipe for <b>Reunion Ale '16®</b> features a Complex Dark Ale with Chocolate, Cocoa Nibs, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Ginger, and Mexican Chili Pepper. <b>Reunion Ale®</b>

Brewmaster Brian "Spike" Buckowski traveling from Georgia to Upstate NY
to help brew the latest collaboration. The Reunion project has raised
more than $130,000 for the IMBCR. Craft beer fans can donate money

2016 takes a variety of crystal malts, as well as Munich, Kiln Amber
and Victory malts to balance elements brought by a Belgian Monastery
yeast," says Shmaltz Lead Brewer Richie Saunders. "Together, subtle
spice notes compliment the characteristics of the favorite autumn style.
Our Shmaltz spin on the style includes extra special ingredients adding
our typical flare -- chili pepper extract, bourbon vanilla, ginger and
cocoa nibs. Reunion 2016 brings a rich, deep brown/ruby color with a
classic Belgian aroma complemented by spices with a subtle heat in the
background. The smooth flavor of Belgian yeast and silky vanilla
provides a mellow sipping experience with a slight bite from the chili
pepper and ginger later in the finish."<br /></span><span style="font-size: small;">National <b>Reunion®</b>

local hop farmers breathing life back into the state’s hop industry,
this year’s
<i>Hopstate NY</i> is an American amber ale brewed with rye, and of
course, a healthy amount of hops exclusively sourced from Empire State
farmers. The beer will be available on draft and in six-packs, starting

says Ommegang’s Innovation Manager Justin Forsythe, who developed this

personally, it is very special as our 2016 version is a vastly
different take on showcasing New York hops. It’s an American amber ale
by style, but breaking from tradition and expectation, we added copious
amounts of the finest NY State Cascade, Chinook, and
Nugget hops we could find. I think people are really going to enjoy our
take – it’s citrusy and spicy, while being very refreshing.”

fall, Ommegang, which is located on the former Lynes Hop Farm in
Cooperstown, NY, purchased one ton of New York State-grown and processed
hops. The hops were used to brew not only
<i>Hopstate NY</i> but were also used in <i>Fleur de Houblon</i>,
Ommegang’s summer ale. This is the second year in which Ommegang has
purchased local hops for both experimental brews, and local and
nationwide releases.

The hopping is almost entirely late-addition, and with two rounds of
dry-hopping in fermentation, the beer has bright aromas of citrus and

honey and caramel from the malt. Moderate bitterness of the taste is of
citrus and tangerine with a slight pine resin presence. The finish is a
pleasantly lingering resinous hop finish with a touch of sweet malt.

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span>(</span>COOPERSTOWN, NY) Tucked between lush hills and alongside a lazy river, beyond the lights and crowds and bustle, is a
brewery unlike any other. From this bucolic setting in Cooperstown, NY, comes a very special new beer:
<i>Great Beyond Double IPA</i>. More so than any other beer ever crafted
at Brewery Ommegang, this beer was designed to be transcendent – to
transport drinkers to an idyllic Upstate NY state-of-mind and being. The
new brew ships nationally throughout June in
six-packs and draft.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The
first beer Ommegang has released since it was named Champion Brewery
and Brewmaster for mid-sized breweries at the 2016 World Beer Cup,
<i>Great Beyond Double IPA </i>is a build upon the highly successful <i>Nirvana IPA.</i>
<i>Nirvana </i>debuted almost exactly one-year ago throughout the
brewery’s northeast backyard of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. In
only 12 months, as reported by IRI in NY Food data,
<i>Nirvana</i> is already the #3 selling NY-IPA. Overall, it is the #13
selling IPA 6-pack despite having weighted distribution well below 50%.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">“Double
IPA is a style we were excited to brew – it’s a further exploration
beyond the Belgian-styles we are known for historically,” said Phil
Leinhart, Brewmaster for Brewery Ommegang. “<i>Nirvana
</i>received such a great reaction, of course we wanted to see if we
could take that to another level. And I’m really excited we are sharing
this beer nationally – unlike
<i>Nirvana </i>which we restrict to our heartland, fans everywhere can enjoy <i>Great Beyond</i> and tell us what they think.”

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><i>Great Beyond</i>
pours a hazy light copper color with a thick white head. The aroma is
intensely fruity thanks
to massive hop editions; notes of mango, pineapple, and apricot
dominate the nose, with underlying hints of sweet citrus. The flavor is
full of juicy, fruity hop character with resinous pine undertones. The
body is pleasantly full with a silky mouthfeel and
big balanced bitterness. The finish lingers, finally resolving to a
pleasant hop presence.
<i>Great Beyond</i> is 8.8% ABV and 83 IBUs, a true palate-wrecker. </span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Brewed with pilsner and Munich 20 malts, along with additions of flaked oats, and dextrose,
<i>Great Beyond</i> has a beautifully smooth mouthfeel. Hopping is done
throughout the brewing process with a blend of Columbus, Cascade,
Centennial, Mosaic, Calypso, and Mandarina Bavaria hops, and the beer is
fermented with American ale yeast.

bold
flavors like smoked and cured meats, barbeque, curries, and all manner
of spicy food such as Thai stir fry. Bold rich chesses like extra-sharp
cheddar and bleu cheese are excellent as well. Find

<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">BUFFALO – Resurgence Brewing Company will send its popular Blood
Orange Saison to the market in cans starting March 1, delivering a taste
of sunshine to rescue drinkers from the dark days of late winter. This
fresh, fruit-forward saison is ripe with orange, lemon peel and tropical
flavors, with a zesty, effervescent character to wake up the palate.
Fans of this popular style will be able to purchase it across Western
New York, as well as at RBC’s West Side taproom.</span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">“Blood
Orange Saison has been one of our most popular styles since we first
started making it about a year ago,” said RBC owner Jeff Ware. “It’s
light enough to enjoy a few on the back porch or in the beer garden on a
warm spring day, and we’re sending it out now to remind Buffalo that
spring really is on its way, and with it, those nice, bright beers.” </span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">This
is RBC’s second beer to hit the market in cans, following the raging
success of its first six-pack release, the brewery’s signature
Resurgence IPA. The IPA hit the market in September, and brewers are
working around the clock to keep up with demand. </span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Head
brewer Dave Collins created Blood Orange Saison with lots of big, bold
flavors and that citric saison profile to satisfy a wide range of beer
drinkers. IPA fans will enjoy the kick of citrus reminiscent of popular
Citra and Mosaic hops, while those who usually go for lagers will like
the light body and easy drinking style. As for that pop of orange color,
that’s for everyone! </span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Samples of the Blood Orange Saison are available upon request, and a new commercial for the cans can be viewed or downloaded <a href="https://vimeo.com/155639605" target="_blank" title="This external link will open in a new window">here</a>.
Contact marketing manager Lizz Schumer to set up a time to speak with
Ware or Collins about the new style, obtain sample cans for review or
for additional information about the release.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>About Resurgence Brewing Company</b></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">RBC
was founded in June 2014 by Jeff Ware, a home brewer and beer
aficionado who had previously worked for Sam Adams Brewing Company. With
a vision of creating unique, true-to-style beers in his hometown of
Buffalo, Ware brought in Dave Collins from Gordon Biersch as his head
brewer. The pair created RBC as a nod to Buffalo's up-and-coming brewing
economy and the resurgence of the WNY rust belt area in general, with
the aim of making great beers customers could experience both in the
spacious reclaimed warehouse taproom and German-style biergarten, but at
home and in bars and restaurants across the area. For RBC, beer isn't
just a beverage. It's an experience.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b><i>Clifton Park, NY --</i> Friday, February 19, 2016 --</b> Just in time for NYC Beer Week 2016, Shmaltz Brewing Company releases a new limited edition seasonal exclusively in New York State, <b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale -- Work For Beer®</b> (5.5% ABV). With the number of U.S. breweries growing to more than 4,000 in 2015 -- for the first time since the 1870s -- and New York State producing 238 breweries of its own, the demand for skilled brewers is at a record high. Shmaltz helps raise awareness of New York's need for passionate men and women to learn the craft of brewing with a portion of proceeds from <b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale®</b> directly supporting their new brewer training program. <b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale®</b> is now available throughout New York State and will be featured at <i>Brewer's Choice</i> during NYC Beer Week 2016 on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.<br /><br />Shmaltz Brewing teamed up with Schenectady County Community College (SCCC), the Greater Capital Region Workforce Development Boards and fellow New York State breweries to start their first regional Brewers Training Program. A portion of sales from <b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale®</b> will help train new brewers and support SCCC's efforts to create an Associate's Degree in Brewing.<br /><br /><b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale®</b> is a bright and crisp pale ale brewed with 50% NYS 2-row malt, as well as other American malt favorites, hopped with a burst of warrior, simcoe and mosaic and dry hopped with NYS cascade.<br /><br /><b>Shmaltz Proprietor Jeremy Cowan</b> comments, "In 2013, I made Clifton Park, NY the home of Shmaltz Brewing Company. It is incredibly rewarding to invest the future of our company in a community that's excited about new job opportunities in the local marketplace. Our state and regional workforce development partners have been incredibly responsive to our need for skilled brewers and SCCC is leading the way to develop brewer training programs that will help our industry grow and thrive. What better way to celebrate this public, private, academic partnership, and raise a few dollars and awareness of our need for brewers than with a delicious craft beer, brewed in NY with NYS malts and hops and sold exclusively in New York State."<br /><br />"Thanks to companies like Shmaltz Brewing and Governor Cuomo's efforts to spur growth, the craft beer industry has risen to a new level in New York State," says <b>Empire State Development President, CEO & Commissioner Howard Zemsky</b>. "The company's innovative partnership with Schenectady County Community College is creating both educational and employment opportunities for students and graduates in a booming industry."<br /><br />"The Greater Capital Region Workforce Development Boards are proud to partner with Shmaltz Brewing and Schenectady County Community College in a public/private/academic initiative to strengthen the pipeline of workers for the growing Craft Beer Industry in New York State," says <b>Gail B. Breen, Executive Director of Workforce Development Board, Inc.</b> (Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties). "It is the mission of the GCRWDBs to create a quality workforce for New York State businesses."<br /><br />"We are very pleased to be partnering with the Shmaltz Brewing Company and other New York State breweries, along with the Greater Capital Region Workforce Development Boards, to start the first regional Brewers Training Program in the Capital Region," says <b>Dr. Steady H. Moono, President of Schenectady County Community College</b>. "At SCCC, we are passionate about developing innovative programs such as this one that trains our students for well-paying and in-demand jobs. We are grateful that a portion of the proceeds from Brewers Wanted Pale Ale® will support our efforts to create an Associate's Degree in Brewing, as well as help build upon our successful credential craft brew course currently in session."<br /><br />"We congratulate Shmaltz Brewing Company on the launch of this new beer that not only uses New York State local ingredients and supports our farmers, but also highlights the essence of the state's craft beverage producers, who work together to benefit the industry as a whole," adds <b>New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard A. Ball</b>. "Training is key to the continued success of our thriving agri-businesses, and we applaud Shmaltz Brewing and all partners involved on the creation and promotion of a program that will focus on the growing workforce needs of craft breweries and encourage future producers."<br /><br />"We have been seeking talented people to join the brewery. But while Shmaltz, and fellow Upstate, NY Breweries, have found that there is no shortage of men and women who want to work in a brewery there aren't enough brewing schools and training programs to teach them the skills they need to start their brewing career," comments <b>Shmaltz Production Manager, Christian Ryan</b>. "Our Regional Workforce Development Boards and SCCC have truly stepped up to help Shmaltz, our partners, Saranac, Adirondack Brewery, and Rare Form Brewing, create and fund a training program that will meet our current and future workforce needs."<br /><br />For a comprehensive list of Shmaltz Brewing events featuring <b>Brewers Wanted Pale Ale®</b> throughout Saratoga Beer Week and NYC Beer Week, please visit </span><span style="background-color: white; color: blue;">shmaltzbrewing.com<br /></span><span style="background-color: white;"><b>About Shmaltz Brewing Company</b>Founder and owner Jeremy Cowan established Shmaltz Brewing in San Francisco in 1996. <span style="font-family: inherit;"><b><span style="line-height: 15.3333px;">(COOPERSTOWN, NY)</span></b><span style="line-height: 15.3333px;"> Starting after nightfall and retiring at sunrise, <i>shadow brewers</i> are typically quiet and true professionals who labor though off hours bringing great beer to life. It can be a lonely task, with only a few compatriots, a well-chosen playlist, and tomorrow’s beer keeping company. In tribute to these oft-overlooked solitary souls, Ommegang is releasing <i>Shadow Brewer</i>, an imperial stout as dark and deep as a long Cooperstown winter’s night. The latest addition to the <i>Brewmaster’s Obsession Series</i>, <i>Shadow Brewer, </i>like its forebears, is a limited edition delving deep into the art and science of brewing.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white;">
<span style="line-height: 15.3333px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white;">
<span style="line-height: 15.3333px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">“A Russian imperial stout is a beer style I have long wanted to explore” said Ommegang Brewmaster Phil Leinhart. “I’ve been waiting for the right moment and the right inspiration. Once we cracked it, to me it only made sense that <i>Shadow Brewer</i> should honor our midnight brewers. As a veteran of many a nightshift during my early days in brewing, I can tell you this is the perfect beer to enjoy after working in the cold and dark all night.”</span></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white;">
<span style="line-height: 15.3333px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">A thick tan head tops the jet black brew as aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate give way to rich dark fruit notes. The taste is malty, roasted, and chocolatey with moderate hop bitterness. The finish is thick with oatmeal creaminess and pleasant lingering roast. <i>Shadow Brewer</i> is brewed with and hopped with Columbus, Styrian Golding, Northern Brewer, and Chinook hops. An American ale yeast is used in both primary and secondary fermentation.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="line-height: 15.3333px;">Pair with dark meats such as venison, braised lamb shanks, duck, or beef, funky aged cheeses, or rich desserts. </span><i><span style="line-height: 15.3333px;">Shadow Brewer</span></i><span style="line-height: 15.3333px;"> will be available in late-February in 750ml specialty screen-printed bottles and draft.</span><span style="line-height: 13.8px;"></span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">(COOPERSTOWN, NY) Brewery Ommegang’s exquisitely unique Three Philosophers Quardupel Ale is universally-known as the preferred elixir of life’s meditators, thinkers and theorizers. Now, thanks to Brewmaster Phil Leinhart and the 24 bourbon barrels he got his hands on, mullers of life’s mysteries can ponder all the more deeply. A very limited bourbon-barrel-aged edition of Ommegang’s most renowned beer will be available beginning in February at the brewery store and in early March at select New York City specialist beer retailers. A small amount is also being held in reserve opportunistically.<br /> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">“We’ve experimented with barrel aging in the past and had great success,” said Ommegang Brewmaster Phil Leinhart. “Three Philosophers is such a lovely, complex beer and it ages so beautifully that we thought it the perfect fit for pairing with bourbon barrels. The result is exactly what we hoped for: even more complex flavors and a slightly fuller body than the standard. We’re sure this’ll be a crowd pleaser.” <br /> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">Like the original, Bourbon Barrel-aged Three Philosophers pours a deep burgundy hue with a fluffy, off-white head. Patience through the aging process rewarded the brewers with flavors of caramel, raisin, dried fruit, molasses, and vanilla and aromas of oak, vanilla, and subtle hints of cherry. The body is ample but still finishes faintly dry with lingering hints of malt, bourbon, and cherry. The effects of barrel-aging, eliciting remnant alcohol from the cooperage during the aging process, escalated the ABV of the beer from 9.7% to a significant, yet sneakily subtle, 11.4% ABV.<br /> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">The beer will on sale at the Ommegang store on Saturday, February 13 from 12-8 pm, on a first </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">come-first served, basis. During the day-long launch event, visitors can enjoy unlimited beer samples for $5, café food specials, and 10% off all beer and merchandise in the brewery store. Visitors are also welcome (and encouraged!) to return to the brewery that night for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. Details about dinner, which will feature the new beer, can be found at www.ommegang.com/blog. <br /> </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">Bourbon Barrel-aged Three Philosophers NYC retail locations can be found through the Ommegang beer finder (Ommegang.com) following its roll-out to trade in early March. <br /> </span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>About Yonkers Brewing Co.</b>Like
any other great idea, Yonkers Brewing Co. was thought of with a beer in
hand. The concept of brewing came to John Rubbo and Nick Califano after
they tirelessly helped their grandfathers make homemade wine. As they
exchanged stories about crushing grapes and discussed the intricacy of
fermentation, they cracked open a cold beer. As the cap fell off, the
lights went on. "Why not just make the sweet nectar we enjoy so much
more?” they asked. The generations-old tradition of wine making sparked a
fire, and with head brewer, Sharif Taleb, they brewed up a recipe that
is now known as their flagship, Yonkers Vienna Lager. Yonkers is always
striving for continued improvement, innovation and quality in all they
do, including promoting their hometown culture. For more information,

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: small;">(COOPERSTOWN, NY) Brewery Ommegang is honored to have received a pair of gold medals at the prestigious European Beer Star Competition this fall. The European Beer Star Competition judged 1,957 beers from 45 countries and awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals for 55 categories. Abbey Ale won gold for Belgian-style dubbel and Gnomegang won gold for Belgian-style tripel. In 2012 in the same competition, Abbey Ale won silver and Gnomegang won gold in their respective categories. <br /><br />Abbey Ale was the first beer ever brewed by Ommegang. Spiced with sweet orange peel, coriander, cumin, star anise, and licorice root, Abbey Ale’s subtle aromas and flavors coupled with its excellent cellaring qualities have made the beer a fan favorite for 18 years. Gnomegang has been part of the Ommegang lineup since 2010 when the magic gnomes from Brasserie d’Achouffe in Belgium brought their spicy yeast to the United States as a gift for our brewers to experiment with. The result was Gnomegang, a unique, flavorful, aromatic dose of well-balanced magic in a glass. <br /><br />“It’s very exciting to have one of our newest core beers – Gnomegang – and our first beer – Abbey Ale – recognized with these awards,” said Phil Leinhart, Brewmaster at Ommegang. “It’s a testament to the fantastic team that we have at Ommegang ensuring that our quality and consistency remains top notch. I am extremely proud and appreciative of the honor.” <br /><br />The European Beer Star Competition was established in 2003, and is reserved for beers brewed in styles that originated in Europe. Brewers from all over the world may submit their beers and the competition awards gold, silver, and bronze honors to beers which best fulfill the criteria of the respective styles and that have impressive taste and quality. <br /><br />Both Abbey Ale and Gnomegang are available in 12oz four-packs, 750ml corked and caged bottles, and on draft throughout Ommegang’s 43-state distribution footprint. </span></span>The Foaming Headhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05586910079166553515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515315216282660038.post-69499341811700834002015-10-28T12:27:00.000-07:002015-11-12T12:27:53.405-08:00Ommegang to Release Lovely, Dark and DeepOmmegang adds a touch of frost to new winter seasonal<br />
<br />
New Oatmeal Stout – Lovely, Dark and Deep pays homage to famous winter poem & poet<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lHLiIE5XRGM/VkT2K2c097I/AAAAAAAABhw/UvjIFh2Xg9A/s1600/1.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lHLiIE5XRGM/VkT2K2c097I/AAAAAAAABhw/UvjIFh2Xg9A/s320/1.png" width="81" /></a></div>
(COOPERSTOWN, NY) For the next few months, there will be plenty of snow-filled woods by <br />which to stop and ponder in Ommegang’s Upstate New York, Cooperstown home. It only seemed fitting therefore to seek inspiration from Robert Frost’s famous poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” when name-storming monikers for the brewery’s new winter-warmer seasonal. Lovely, Dark and Deep, an oatmeal stout, is set to reach retail in early November.<br />
<br />“Winter is lengthy in Upstate New York and we wanted to brew a beer that we could enjoy throughout the long, cold months,” says Mike McManus, Ommegang’s Innovation Manager. “Lovely, Dark, and Deepnot only reflects well the nature of our winters here, but also the beer. At 5.3% ABV the second follows easily after the first, while the chocolate, roast, and coffee characters provide enough to explore. It should be perfect during, or after, a day of winter fun.”<br />
<br />
Lovely, Dark and Deep pours deep black with a tan, creamy mousse-like head. Aromas of roasted malt and coffee with cream, coupled with subtle notes of chocolate and dark fruit from Ommegang’s house yeast prevail. Flavors of rich chocolate milk, and coffee and cream are impeccably balanced with restrained sweetness and hints of roastiness. The finish is silky smooth with a medium to full body.<br />
<br />
Brewed with a rich blend of malts including chocolate malt, midnight wheat, and flaked oats, and given a small addition of lactose, Lovely, Dark and Deep has a hint of sweetness and a smooth body. The beer is hopped with Bravo and Styrian Golding hops and Ommegang’s signature house yeast is used in both primary and secondary fermentation.<br />
<br />
Lovely, Dark and Deep is the perfect beer to pair with a light meal by a hot, crackling fire on a cold winter’s night. Cozy up and watch the flames while you pair sips with aged cheddar, a hunk of dark bread with natural sweetness like pumpernickel, and slices of cold meats, like rare roast beef, with stone ground mustard. <strong>Mother’s Mercy – <em>Iron Throne Blonde Ale</em> and <em>Take the Black Stout </em>to return this fall</strong><br />
<strong><em>HBO® and Brewery Ommegang to re-release first two beers in popular </em>Game of Thrones®<em> collaboration</em></strong><br />
<br />
<strong>(COOPERSTOWN, NY)</strong> While in
Westeros it remains very much uncertain who will ultimately rule the
Seven Kingdoms, fans of Brewery Ommegang and the hit HBO show <em>Game of Thrones</em> are going to enjoy something not seen since the merry rule of King Joffrey – <em>Iron Throne Blonde Ale </em>and <em>Take the Black Stout</em>.
The two first brews in the collaboration series, much like Jorah
Mormont, are back just when fans thought they were gone forever. Both
beers will be re-released this fall on draft, in single 750ml bottles
and in a first-ever collectible gift pack featuring a bottle of each and
a commemorative <em>Game of Thrones</em> glass.<br />
“We heard from so many fans who were disappointed about missing the
first two Game of Thrones beers,” said Josh Goodstadt, Vice President of
Global Licensing at HBO. “The popularity of the beers has grown right
alongside the popularity of the show, and we are thrilled to give these
first two brews a second turn in the spotlight.”<br />
<br />
When it was originally released in 2013, <em>Iron Throne Blonde Ale </em>was brewed at only 25% of the volume of the most recent beer, <em>Three-Eyed Raven</em>,
which hit stores this spring timed to Season 5 of the show. Bottle
shops across the country sold out in days, while bars poured through
kegs in hours. <em>Take the Black Stout </em>was brewed at twice the volume of <em>Iron Throne </em>and
still sold out quickly. Fans who missed out on both of these popular
brews, and those who can’t wait to try them again, will finally have a
chance this fall.<br />
“We had no idea what the reaction to a <em>Game of Thrones</em> beer
would be when this all started,” said Bill Wetmore, Marketing Director
for Brewery Ommegang. “We were blown away by the runaway success of
these first two beers and are very excited to give loyal fans another
chance to enjoy them.”<br />
<br />
<em>Iron Throne Blonde Ale</em> has a slightly hazy golden amber hue.
The head is full and fluffy. The finish is crisp, backed by a touch of
spice and hops. The aroma is a bit grassy with a hint of lemon
fruitiness from the lemon peel. The taste is lightly malty, rounded by
honey malt sweetness. <em>Iron Throne Blonde Ale</em> is 6.5% ABV.<br />
<br />
<em>Take the Black Stout</em> is deep black in hue, with a full tan
head. Aromas include dark chocolate, caramel malt, earthy hops, and a
touch of fruitiness. Tastes include chocolate, dark coffee, and rich
malt character. The beer has light, balanced roastiness aroma and taste.
The clean hop bitterness converges with a slight woody character and
spiciness. The finish offers sweet malt character giving way to spicy,
earthy, hop bitterness. <em>Take the Black Stout</em> is 7.0% ABV.<br />
<br />
The two beers will be available nationally in late September on
draft, in 750ml bottles, and also in limited edition gift packs
featuring a bottle of each beer plus a newly designed glass featuring
the Ommegang and <em>Game of Thrones</em> logos in gold. Suggested retail price for the individual bottles is $9.99 and $22.99 for the gift pack.The Foaming Headhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05586910079166553515noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515315216282660038.post-4129425651655526882015-09-04T12:43:00.000-07:002015-09-19T12:44:11.533-07:00Shmaltz Relelases Death Black IPA in New Packaging <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<b> </b></div>
<br />
<br />
<div>
<b>Brooklyn, New York • August 31, 2015</b> — <b>Grimm Artisanal Ales</b> captures
#1 and #4 slots in one of the largest blind tastings of Double IPA ever
conducted, bringing the hoppy crown home to NYC. The 115 beer lineup
included many of the world’s top-ranked examples of the style: legendary
beers like The Alchemist’s <i>Heady Topper</i>, Lawson’s <i>Sip of Sunshine</i>, and Russian River’s <i>Pliny The Elder</i>.
Facilitated by Paste Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia, the event represents
the most rigorous blind tasting ever conducted under the auspices of a
media organization.</div>
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The top rated beers were
gathered from all over. With a view to freshness, all beers were tasted
within a few weeks of release. The large tasting panel consisted of
professional beer writers, brewery owners, brewmasters, BJCP-certified
tasters, restaurateurs, brewery reps and journalists. Tasting was done
first in heats of 10 beers each, with the best beers moving on into the
final round.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div>
Unbelievably, Grimm Artisanal Ales captured not just the <b><a href="http://grimmales.com/lambodoor/" target="_blank" title="This external link will open in a new window">#1 spot with<i> Lambo Door</i></a></b>, but two out of the top four slots, making Grimm a heavyweight contender for the title: <b>best DIPA brewer in the world</b>. <i><a href="http://grimmales.com/tesseract/" target="_blank" title="This external link will open in a new window">Tesseract</a>,</i> a drier and more aggressive double IPA, took fourth place.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even
more impressively, Grimm has accomplished this feat while operating as a
nomadic brewery: they don’t own a brewery of their own. Instead, they
travel to other breweries near and far, brewing their beer on other
breweries’ equipment. The Grimms brewed these particular award-winning
beers during their summertime residency at Flagship Brewing Company of
Staten Island, New York.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The incredible
victory in the DIPA tasting couldn’t come at a more appropriate time for
Grimm. In mid-September, they are set to release their first ever
canned beer: a brand new Double IPA named <i>Afterimage</i>. The canned beverage will be a juicy, fruity hop bomb in the same vein as their winning<i> Lambo Door</i> and <i>Tesseract</i>.
Supplies will be limited, with 120 cases released in New York City and
80 cases released in the rest of New York state. The Grimms are
currently looking at properties in Brooklyn, where they <b>intend to build a brick-and-mortar brewery </b>which will allow them to take their creativity to new heights.</div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The
two-person company consists of Joe Grimm and Lauren Grimm, a married
couple living in Gowanus, Brooklyn (and frequently on the road). They
are best known for creative, single batch beers: one to two new brews
are released each month, and many of these limited edition beers are
never brewed a second time. Their trademark styles are dry-hopped
sour/wild ales, double IPA’s, and imperial stouts.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The
Grimms are no stranger to defying the odds and winning huge in rigorous
blind tastings; at the most recent Great American Beer Festival, the
couple won the Silver Medal in the Imperial Stout category for their
celebrated Double Negative Imperial Stout.</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14.66px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Named after the Sorachi region of Hokkaido, Japan, the Sorachi Ace hop was developed by a large Japanese brewery in the late 1970s. A cross between British Brewers Gold, Japanese “Beikei No. 2” and the famed Czech Saaz, it had a unique lemony, herbal scent, but this hop was deemed "odd" and ended up quickly banished to a laboratory. It lingered there until 2008, when the Sorachi Ace hop was quietly revived by a family in Washington State.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14.66px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Less than a year later, brewmaster Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery made it the star of his own titular beer. Originally a member of their limited Brewmaster’s Reserve series, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, an unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, with a clean malt flavor and the quirky Sorachi Ace hop standing front and center. Dry-hopping releases Sorachi Ace’s unique combination of citrus and dill-like aromatics</span><span style="color: #1f497d; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.66px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14.66px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">to tickle the nose before ascending into a fine harmony between German 2-row pilsner malt and playful Belgian ale yeast. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14.66px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Shea and Valand of Brooklyn Brew Shop have been fans of Sorachi Ace since its inception, and look forward to teaching brewers in the United States and beyond to craft the unique beer at home. </span></div>
