NYC Brewers Choice to Bring Regional Grains, Brewers, City’s Best Chefs to Wythe Hotel

The original “better beer event” returns, as NYC Brewers Choice brings 25+ brewers to the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on February 26th from 6:00-9:30 p.m. Dating back to the very first Craft Beer Week six years ago, NYC Brewers Choice remains the only independently produced event that ties this year’s NYC Beer Week to its Beer Week origins. This year we return with even more food from the city’s best chefs, restaurants and artisanal food purveyors to pair with beer from brewers who have been encouraged to brew beer with regional grains specifically for our event.

     Among the features of this year’s NYC Brewers Choice:
  • The best line-up of food at any NYC Beer Week event, including Reynard, Mile End Deli and Luke's Lobster;
  • The celebration of the 200th episode of Beer Sessions Radio™ on the Heritage Radio Network;
  • Officials from NY State will be present to celebrate local grains, with a portion of the proceeds going to GrowNYC’s Regional Grains Project;
  • The return of Blind Tiger’s Dave Brodrick as co-curator of the beer list;
  • 25+ brewers pouring specially made craft beer, many with grains source through Valley Malt.
NYC Brewers Choice was founded by Jimmy Carbone, Ray Deter and Dave Brodrick six years ago as a specially curated beer and food experience (beer is served in stemware with the Wythe Hotel providing an elegant atmosphere for sophisticated beer lovers), where the public can interact with brewers and beer industry veterans. The all-inclusive ticket (everyone’s a VIP at NYC Brewers Choice) is only $65 advance purchase ($75 week of event).

A full list of brewers, chefs and restaurants—along with ticketing information—is available at nycbrewerschoice.com.
The Good Beer Seal was co-founded in 2009 by Jimmy Carbone (Jimmy’s No. 43), Ray Deter (RIP – former owner of d.b.a.), Ben & Mike Wiley (Bar Great Harry), Gary Gillis (Burp Castle/Standings), and Dave Brodrick (Blind Tiger). The Good Beer Seal exists to identify bars offering an intriguing selection of craft beer in a unique atmosphere created by owner/operators who exhibit a deep commitment not only to the promotion of craft beer but to their community as well.
Beer Sessions Radio™ airs every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. on Heritage Radio Network. Jimmy Carbone, co-founder of The Good Beer Seal and owner of Jimmy’s No. 43 in the East Village, plays host to an audio ale salon celebrating the world of craft beer. Through discussions with beer industry insiders and knowledgeable beer fans from across the country, Jimmy and his friends explore every aspect of the brewer's craft from grains to pint glass and tasting to toasting. Beer Sessions Radio is sponsored by GreatBrewers.com, your online source for craft beer information, and supported by The Good Beer Seal.
