5 Napkin Burger to Host Kelso Beer Dinner



5 Napkin Burger’s 2nd Beer Dinner is coming up with Brooklyn’s Kelso on October 6th. The dinner will begin with an informal reception where guests will mingle with the husband and wife brewers Kelly and Sonya and dine on signature appetizers from 5 Napkin Burger’s menu and ones that Chef Andy D’Amico will prepare with the featured beers just for the event. This evening is a unique and rare opportunity to taste beers with the head brew-masters in a tasting room setting, followed by a sit down two course dinner all expertly paired with a different Kelso beer. 

Kelly and Sonya are bringing out all the stops and are pouring rare brews such as their Bourbon Barrel Aged, Brandy Barrel Aged IPA and the Flemish Red Ale. A complete list of the beers being served throughout the night are below:

The Vanderbilt To Host Two Beer Events

The Vanderbilt restaurant in Prospect Heights Brooklyn has two beer-centric events happening next week.


CLAMBAKE & KELSO BEER DINNER

The Vanderbilt & Kelso of Brooklyn are practically neighbors, so it’s about time that they've teamed up for one of the restaurant's beer dinners. The gastropub and microbrewery will be pairing their locally brewed drafts with Chef's Saul Bolton's menu a summer clambake for a four beer, four-course sit-down feast on Tuesday, August 2 at 7:30 PM. The Vanderbilt clambake menu includes a tomato and watermelon salad and St. Louis Barbecue Pork Steak rounding out for a perfect summer dinner. THE BARMAN'S FUND & BROOKLYN BREWERY

The Barman’s Fund is a collection of bartenders around New York City who pledge to donate every dollar they make on their first shift of the month to charity. On Friday, August 5 starting at 11 pm, the Barman's Fund will continue their do-good drink slinging and will be pouring pints donated by Brooklyn Brewery GRATIS. The Barmen invite all of the legal drinking age to come support their fundraising goals to raise money for local charities at The Vanderbilt restaurant in Brooklyn. Proceeds from this month's events will be donated to the Brooklyn Free Clinic. Admission is free and open to the public. Tips are encouraged, of course.
