Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. Turns Four
Celebrates with Party and Special Brew
June 28, 2013, Greenport, NY. Greenport Harbor Brewing Company announced plans to recognize their fourth anniversary with a block party-style celebration at the brewery at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013. All are invited to attend as the owners, staff, and special guests celebrate four years in beer and the future expansion plans for the brewery. The event will begin with a special keg tapping ceremony which will feature their special limited-edition anniversary brew called, simply, #4. "We have so much to celebrate," boasted Greenport Harbor Brewing Company co-owner, Rich Vandenburgh. "The response to our beer from the Long Island community and beyond has been amazing. The last four years have been quite an adventure. We have a lot to be thankful for and lots of people to thank," he added.
To mark this special milestone, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company has produced a limited supply of #4, their anniversary beer. #4 is a straw colored ale with golden highlights. Beer lovers will certainly enjoy the German Spalt Select and Czech Saaz hops which are blended to create a lightly bittered ale with inviting aromas reminiscent of fresh cut grass and summer fruit. The special anniversary brew will be served at the hometown gathering on July 20 and will be available in very limited supplies at key accounts.
The anniversary celebration will be hosted at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company's current production facility at 234 Carpenter Street in Greenport, NY where great food and great music will mix with great beer and great friends. Beer lovers from across Long Island will gather to raise a pint (or two) in celebration of the success the brewery has achieved over the last four years and to learn more about the progress of the expansion plans into the bigger production facility in Peconic.
Tickets for the event are on sale now. Purchase tickets online in advance of the event for $25 which includes a pint glass, five tasting tickets and a meal ticket or tickets can be purchased at the door on event day for $30 (cash only) and includes receive four tasting tickets and a meal ticket. Meal tickets may be redeemed for specific food selections from one of our three food vendors at the party who will also have other food selections and non-alcoholic beverages available for sale.
