Staten Island Yankees To Host Brewfest

Staten Island, NY — The 2012 Staten Island Yankees Brewfest will happen on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George, conveniently located next to the Staten Island Ferry and the St. George Station of the Staten Island Railway. Undoubtedly, you will enjoy the brews but you will also appreciate the views of the beautiful New York City skyline.
The Brewfest will feature some local breweries as well as some from afar. The Richmond County Beer Club (RCBC) will be coordinating the home brew competition, which will feature local brewers that enter their homebrewed beers to be judged for a cash prize. But more importantly, they will claim bragging rights for the next year. It’s not all about the beer either, partnering with the breweries will be approximately 2 dozen local restaurants and vendors that will sample their eats and treats to the crowd.
Attendees can enjoy the local tunes of The Bandulos as well as another band that is yet to be announced. Be sure to enter the Samuel Adams national steinhoisting competition that is held throughout the day right on the field.
VIP ticket holders will have early access to the Brewfest at noon, one hour before the event opens to general admission ticket holders. This VIP ticket gives you access to the ballparks Skyline Suite, an event T-Shirt, first tastes of the local home brews, a wine and cheese sampling as well as passed hors d’ouevres. Last year VIP tickets sold out immediately due to the fact that there are a limited amount of tickets sold. VIP passes cost $60 and are available for pre-purchase only. General admission passes cost $30 in advance, $40 the day of the event. All guests must be 21+ with valid identification.
